Upgrading your vehicle’s suspension to withstand the additional weight of 60-100kgs from the bull bar and optional winch is indeed important for several reasons:

1. Weight capacity: Factory suspensions are designed to handle specific weights, and adding the extra weight of a bull bar and winch can exceed the suspension’s limits, leading to premature wear and potential failure.

2. Sagging and bumpy ride: Without proper suspension upgrades, the front suspension may sag under the added weight, causing the vehicle to ride unevenly and uncomfortably. This can lead to a less stable driving experience and may affect handling and control.

To ensure the proper fitment of the bull bar and minimise potential issues, it’s essential to leave a minimum 10-15mm gap between the bull bar and the body of the vehicle.
